People who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet are also likely to be vitamin B12 deficient, B12 is only found naturally in foods from animal sources. Deficiency can cause anaemia and nervous system damage.
Vitamin B12 is safe for most people. However, pregnant or lactating women should consult their GP prior to treatment. If you have a sensitivity to Cobalt then Vitamin B12 is a contraindication. And Clients with chronic liver and/or kidney dysfunction, Lieber’s disease or abnormal red cells should not take frequent B12 injections.
We recommend one injection of vitamin B12 once a week for 4 weeks, followed by one shot once a month.
